Clasico Day!

Another game, another WIN! With over 93,000 fans at the Camp Nou, FC Barcelona defended their home from their biggest rivals Real Madrid. Although Messi didn’t play, the performance of the team led to the 5-1 win. Messi’s absence in the game allowed other players to stand out and play as a team. Players like Luis Suarez, Philippe Coutinho, and Jordi Alba had great performances as a collective team associating with the rest of the team. A fantastic performance from Suarez with a hat-trick gave Barcelona the confidence to win the game. The other two goals were scored by Coutinho and Arturo Vidal to seal the victory. The goal from the Madrid side came from Marcelo at the start of the second half. Barcelona gets the three points at home against their rivals to put themselves on top of the table with 21 points. Barcelona 2-0 Inter de Milan

With goals from Rafinha and Jordi Alba, Barcelona got a 2-0 victory at home against Inter de Milan for the Champions League. It is the first game played without Messi due to his injury. With this victory, Barcelona leads Group B of the competition with 9 points. They are still undefeated in the competition and have the potential to make it all the way to win it.  Will they stay undefeated throughout the whole competition? Will they overcome Messi's injury and win their games without him?

With a capacity of 99, 354 seats, the Camp Nou in Barcelona, Spain is the home for FC Barcelona. It was officially opened on September 24, 1957. The atmosphere of every game played there is magnificent. The fans chanting throughout the 90 minutes of every game encourages the players to give it their all in every game. It is one of the largest stadiums in Europe and all around the world. The Camp Nou serves as the stage for Barcelona to play their style at their best. Barcelona is hard to beat at the Camp Nou because with their style of playing, they dominate the games easily to execute the rival. What a week!

Tough Week for FC Barcelona! On October 20, 2018; Barcelona played Sevilla FC at the Camp Nou. Although they got the victory 4-2, their star player Lionel Messi suffered a shoulder injury early in the game after scoring a goal. It was an unfortunate situation where the player landed wrong after falling down into the pitch. The club’s medics said the expected time of recovery is approximately 3 weeks. He will miss important Champions League matches and most importantly, the match against their biggest rivals, Real Madrid on October 28, 2018 at the Camp Nou. As part their Champions League competition, Barcelona played Inter de Milan on October 24, 2018 at the Camp Nou. They were able to get the victory 2-0 over their Italian rivals. Goals scored by Rafinha and Jordi Alba helped the team to stay undefeated in the tournament. It was their first game played without Messi after his injury.
